The Trail des Audannes is 25 kilometres and 1'550m of difference in altitude on a course with magnificent landscapes and varied terrain.

The itinerary starts at the Place du Village, and takes the direction of the Combe d'Arbaz, with an ascent to the Donin mountain pasture.

The following kilometres continue up the valley to the Col de la Selle. The route continues to the Cabane des Audannes and then begins the descent to join the Tour des Alpages route to the Serin Alp, with its modern dairy.

The return journey begins by following the Bisse de Sion, a historic irrigation canal built between 1901 and 1903 to bring water from the river "la Lienne" to the surrounding livestock lands, and ends at the starting point on the Place du Village.

Every year in July the Tour des Alpages takes place. The Trail des Alpages is the new itinerary proposed in the framework of the now famous race. More information and registration on www.tourdesalpages.ch
