A cosy hut perched at an altitude of 2,500 metres
The Cabane des Audannes, overlooking the lake of the same name, is situated on the most beautiful natural balcony in the Alps. Perched at an altitude of 2,508 m, it is the mountain refuge used for the ascent of the Wildhorn (3,246 m), the region's emblematic peak.
Built in a futuristic architectural style, it is an essential stop on any two-day hike. Open all year round, warden is on site from March to April and from July to October and look after guests with care and attention. The Cabane is accessible from Les Rousses, from the Tseuzier lake or from the Pas de Maimbré.
The Audannes site also includes several climbing areas. Possibility to sleep at the Cabane des Audannes.
