Tour of the Wildhorn
A hike on the mountain range between Bern and Valais: set off on a four-day hike on this magnificent trail with breathtaking alpine scenery, on the border between two of Switzerland’s cultural and linguistic regions. The Tour of the Wildhorn can be completed during the summer by hikers able to walk for five to six hours a day.
You’ll discover lakes, mountain passes, limestone pavements, mountain ridges and magical scenery along the way. You can take in the incredible panorama of the Valais Alps and see as far as Mont Blanc from the excellent viewing points. Much of the route is at high altitude. Weather conditions can change rapidly and it can snow even in the middle of summer. Bring suitable equipment.
