Lapiaz Tour
Description
The hike starts and ends at the wall of Tseuzier Dam. After leaving the dam wall, you walk alongside the lake until you reach the Gîte de Lourantze, where you can grab a bite to eat. You then climb in the direction of the bucolic Ténéhet lake perched amidst the limestone pavement. You then continue the tour making the gentle climb down across the limestone pavement, a magnificent natural balcony that overlooks Tseuzier lake. From here you head down the slope to the alpine pasture of Armillon, then the route leads through a small tunnel before ending its descent in Lourantze. You then return to the dam wall by following the Bisse de Sion from its source. This route can be difficult if there is snow on the ground.
Please note: the Lapiaz Tour is a mountain route (appropriate equipment required).
