Bisse de Sion
Description
The municipality of Sion built the Bisse de Sion between 1901 and 1903 to channel water from the Lienne river to the Sionne river. At its start, the Bisse de Sion crosses the Lourantze stream over a wooden aqueduct. It then runs alongside Tseuzier lake and leaves the Rawyl cirque through a series of tunnels.
The source of the Bisse de Sion lies beneath the waterfalls of the Lienne near to theGîte de Lourantze, where you can grab a bite to eat. This magnificent route links the Tseuzier Dam cirque with the resort of Anzère.
Please note: the bisse follows a mountain path until it reaches Les Rousses (suitable equipment required). Filled with water: from 15 July to 15 August.
Possibility to take the bus at several stops of the route.
