A bisse is a low slope irrigation canal that brings water from torrents and rivers to agricultural land, mainly meadows and vineyards, to irrigate them.

Bordered by the Sionne to the west and the Lienne to the east, overlooking the Rhone plain and downstream from the Wildhorn glacier, Anzère is surrounded by water.

The "bisses" (waterways) cross and supply the communes of the region, while the ponds and mountain lakes dot the pastures and the outskirts of the village. Water is a central element of the region.

Numerous hikes along the bisses from Anzère lead you naturally to the magnificent Tseuzier dam. Accessible to all, the bisses are part of the heritage of Anzère and are today a must during your visit.
