The Mayens itinerary offers an ideal setting to recharge your batteries in contact with nature while offering easy access from Anzère. This walk will allow you to enjoy the view of the Rhône plain and the surrounding peaks. Keep an eye out for clues that may lead you to encounter the local fauna.
Go and meet the mayens of the Valais!
The trail starts in the resort of Anzère. You will walk along a flat section of the Sion bisse through the heart of the forest with its phantasmagorical appearance created by the snow playing with the branches of the spruce trees and a few small frozen waterfalls. After about twenty minutes, a short dry climb leads the hiker to the Mayens des Grillesses. From there, the ones eyes are automatically drawn to the idyllic setting of the Rhone Valley and the Crans-Montana plateau. The return journey will be through the same pine forest to Anzère.
