In search of marmots and chamois.
Day 1
Leaving from the Pas de Maimbré, follow a mountain path with views over the Sionne valley towards the Col de la Selle. From here you have two options: the first is to continue on the ridge to reach the summit of Sé Rouge or the second is to descend directly to the Cabane des Audannes.
Day 2
From the Audannes hut, the descent path follows the old Bisse Sec des Audannes (you will see the remains of stone walls) and then plunges into the Combe des Andins, leading to the Serin mountain pasture. From there, you will take a path through pasture and forests, following the Bisse de Sion until you arrive in Anzère. Shortcut possible by taking the post bus to Les Rousses. (Please note that the shuttles are available according to the timetables and days of operation mentioned here).
For this wonderful 2-day mountain hike, take advantage of a 50% discount on the gondola ascent, thanks to your Anzère Liberté pass issued on reservation at the Cabane des Audannes. Overnight accommodation must be booked in advance: www.audannes.ch
