This is the itinerary that will take you along all the bisses in the Anzère region, passing through Arbaz and Ayent.

The path starts in Anzère and goes up the Bisse de Sion. After 1.5 km, the trail leaves the Bisse de Sion and meets the Bisse d'Ayent, which runs 150 m further down. The trail continues up the Bisse for 10 minutes until it reaches the Torrent-Croix tunnel to discover the spectacular old passage hanging on a rock face. The old gullies, abandoned in 1831 after the tunnel was built, were restored in 1991. It is this viewpoint that is depicted on the 100 banknotes.

The route continues along the Bisse of Ayent to the Mayens d'Arbaz. Along its course, you will discover sluices that distribute water for the irrigation of the meadows.

In Les Mayens d'Arbaz, the Bisse of Ayent crosses the Bitailla (the "cut Suone"). It is not known exactly when the Bitailla was built, but it already existed at the beginning of the 14th century. Along its course, you will see several distributors and sluices that divide the water of the Bitailla between the different villages of the region. In «Les Jeuriés», you will discover an ingenious system for distributing the water of the Bisse d'Ayent and the Bitailla, which is five centuries old and still works! The trail then continues through the pleasant village of Saxonne with its typical old houses and ends in Botyre at the Valaisan Bisses Museum.

The museum trail is accessible all year round.

Holders of the Anzère Liberté pass can take advantage of free admission to the museum.
