The Tour du Wildhorn is a four-day hike around Mount Wildhorn. During the summer months, this magnificent mountain route takes in the breathtaking Alpine scenery between the Valais and the canton of Bern.
The tour of the Wildhorn will fill your eyes. Along the way, you'll discover lakes, passes, lapiaz and ridges with enchanting scenery. Superb vantage points let you discover the beauty of the Alps and Pre-Alps of Vaud, Fribourg and Bern, and the incredible panorama from the Valais Alps to Mont Blanc.
The main route and the variants have no technical difficulties, although a slightly vertiginous section at the Col des Audannes is equipped with ladders and fixed ropes.
The tour is accessible during the summer months from July to October, depending on when the snow melts and the huts open. The route, at an altitude of between 1,400 and 2,900 metres, covers 55km and includes 4,100m of ascent.
